Checkout upsell campaign displays additional product suggestions directly on the checkout page. These last minute add-ons help boost the order value.

  • This offer can be used when you want to offer last minute add-ons that doesn’t require much time to decide.
  • The checkout page is an effective place to upsell because the campaign can be shown even when accelerated checkout (Buy now button) is used and the cart is skipped.
  • This campaign is exclusive for Shopify Plus stores.

Example use cases

When a customer buys a hoodie, on the checkout page you can display different add-on products like sunglasses, chain, wrist band, cap, etc. just below the total price.

There are individual β€œAdd” buttons to each product and it can be directly added to the cart. If the customer decides to remove the product, it can be deleted from the checkout page itself.

Points to keep in mind

  • This campaign is available only for Shopify Plus stores.
  • In this campaign, the discounts apply only to the add-on products. The main product stays at full price.
  • If the customer chooses to buy just one add-on, the discount still applies to the single add-on, encouraging even partial purchases.
  • Pagination can be enabled if a large number of products need to be shown. This helps to show long list of items into smaller pages.
