About Post purchase upsell/down-sell campaign
Post purchase upsell/down-sell campaign displays additional product offers immediately after an order is placed. If the customer accepts or declines the first offer, you can show a follow-up product accordingly. This helps boost your revenue.
- Can be used to display upsell offers after order confirmation.
- Set up to 3 offer stages based on customer accepting or declining the offers shown. One upsell product is shown at a time.
- Payment for the upsell product is instantly processed using the vaulted payment method, and the product is added to the same order.
- You can add a timer for urgency / FOMO.
- This campaign is not available for all stores / scenarios, please read the “Points to keep in mind” below.
Where does the widget appear?
The widget appears on a separate page that appears after order payment but before the Thank you page appears.
Example use case
In an apparel and footwear store, let’s say a customer has purchased a joggers. You can offer a full sleeves t-shirt that goes well with it.
Optionally, based on customer accepting or declining the t-shirt, you can show more offers — like sunglasses (upsell) or low-cost t-shirt (down-sell).
Points to keep in mind
- Appears only when the payment is processed for the order with a Credit card or PayPal Express when Shopify is the payment provider. Please note, Shopify payment provider is available only in select countries.
- The order will be in on-hold status when the customer is viewing the post-purchase upsell offer on their end.
- Styling customizations are limited as this campaign is natively integrated with Shopify Checkout.
- To customize the default text in the campaign contact our customer support as Shopify does not allow free editing of text in the post purchase page.
- Checkout out currency should be the same as the store’s default currency for the campaign to appear.
