About Product add-ons (Carousel) campaign
The Product add-ons (Carousel) campaign showcases complementary products in a horizontal scrollable carousel next to the main product. This format helps highlight multiple add-ons without taking up too much space on the page.
- The carousel add-ons is used when there are more than 3 products.
- It has a compact layout.
- Customers can manually choose the add-ons they need and click on “Add to cart” to buy it along with the main product.
Where does the widget appear?
The widget appears on the product page.
| Recommended placement for the widget | Not a recommended placement for the widget |
| ✅ Only above the “Add to cart” button | ❌ The add-on should not be far away from the Add to cart button |
| ❌ Below the “Add to cart” button |
Example use cases
On the sneakers page, you can show add-on products like different types of socks. Customers can choose to add socks to their order or just buy the sneakers alone. You can also offer a discount on the socks if they’re bought together with the sneakers.
For example, you could give a 10% discount on the socks when purchased along with the sneakers.
Points to keep in mind
- Show add-ons that are closely related to the main product, making it simple for customers to pick them.
- It can be a homogeneous or a heterogeneous set.
- In this campaign, the discounts apply only to the add-on products. The main product stays at full price.
- If the customer chooses to buy just one add-on, the discount still applies to the single add-on, encouraging even partial purchases.
- Gives good visibility to all add-on products.
