About Product upsell/down-sell (Pop up) campaign
The Product upsell / down-sell (Pop up) campaign displays an upsell product when the customer adds a product to the cart. Based on the customer’s accepting or declining the offer, further upsell or down sell product can be shown.
- Show an upsell pop-up while “Add to cart” button is clicked.
- Pop up helps in displaying the product images and description clearly.
- You can show up to 3 product recommendations one by one.
Where does the widget appear?
The widget appears when the “Add to cart” button is clicked on the product page.
Example use cases
In an apparel store, let’s say a customer is adding a t-shirt to the cart, you can offer a matching shorts that goes well with it.
Optionally, based on customer accepting or declining the shorts, you can show more offers — like sunglasses (upsell) or low-cost shorts (down-sell).
Points to keep in mind
- This campaign helps you show one product at a time, and being a pop up offers good visibility.
- In this campaign, you can show a custom product description that entices customers to accept the upsell offer.
- Discounts when set up, apply only to the accepted upsell / down sell products.
- Multiple offer stages are optional. You can have further upsells or down-sells only if required.
