How to troubleshoot Post purchase upsell / down-sell campaign?

Problem 1: Widget is not seen when the order is completed

Solution :

Note

The Shopify payment provider is available only in certain countries.

If the widget is not seen, make sure that you are using Shopify payment gateway and the store's default location is among one of those countries. Also the payment should be made with a credit card or paypal express, as the payment details are vaulted for sometime for the customer to complete the purchase in the Post-purchase upsell page.

There are many reasons your widget might not appear on the product page.

Check the following

1. Ensure the offer products are active and available in stock.

2. The Selleasy app embed is enabled in your theme editor. This can be done from your theme customizer.

3. Check if the app is enabled in Shopify

  • Navigate to the setting of Shopify
  • Click on checkout and scroll down
  • In the post purchase page section, check if the Selleasy app is enabled.

4. The widget will not be seen if the cart has only the offer products and does not have the trigger product.

5. Make sure your store’s default currency and checkout currency are the same.

6. The order must include a payment and not be entirely free or use a 100% discount code for testing, as Shopify requires a paid transaction to trigger the post-purchase upsell campaign.

Problem 2: If the purchased product is again shown in the offer

Solution :

Follow the below steps.

  1. Navigate to the Selleasy app campaign section.
  1. Choose the campaign where the changes have to be made.
  1. Scroll down to “campaign settings
  1. Check the box, “Don't show products if it's already in cart or order
  1. Save the settings.
